Lost Ark – Guide: How to prepare the Arkanist for the Legion Raids!

In July 2022, the western version of Smilegate’s MMORPG Lost Ark will finally get a new class. While the Arcanist may not be a favorite for many players, her unique gameplay still earns her a certain following. You can think of the arcanist as a kind of magical assassin. It utilizes both a system of various tarot cards that grant random buffs, and a mechanic that closely resembles the World of Warcraft villain’s combo points.

With certain abilities, the Arcanist builds up to four combo stacks on her opponent and then detonates them with other abilities. The more stacks triggered, the more damage is dealt. If you like the arcanist’s fast-paced gameplay and high mobility, then you’ll want to prepare well for the release of the new class so that you can do legion raids and other fun stuff right away without burdening your party.

It’s likely that we’ll get a Punika power pass with the release of the Arcanist. This takes a class of your choice directly to an item level of 1302. So all you have to do is level up the Tier 3 gear to unlock more content. What you can do now: Create a new mage, but don’t log in with her yet. This will already accrue the Rest Bonus, giving you double the rewards immediately upon release.

Save your upgrade materials

You can save up your Tier3 characters’ upgrade materials until the Arcanist is released. You need a lot of this if you want to reach item level 1415 directly, for example, to do the Valtan Legion raid. Among other things, an average of a little over 100,000 Guardian Stone Crystals are required here, which is why you should start saving right away. With the new June update, Amazon is also adding a chest full of upgrade materials in the shop to the game. If you have spare change and really want to take all kinds of materials with you, then you should not miss this chest.

A well stocked stock makes the release of the arcanist much more pleasant.

With the June update, you can also research the improved honing chances in your stronghold. However, you will need an item level 1460 character to do this, so if your class is about to reach this milestone, you should use your materials on that character first, as the increased chances of getting a new class to item level 1415 will be much easier. In addition, there will probably be a new express event that will hopefully be available for characters of item level 1302 and above. In other versions of the game, the event helps bring new classes to 1415.

In addition to a decent item level, the arcanist, like any class, needs runes and gems. You can easily farm the latter with your other T3 characters using Boss Rush and the daily chaos dungeons. Equipping your arcanist with eleven level 5 gems at the beginning can also do no harm. Incidentally, only three damage gems are required here. The rest are used for the reduced cooldowns.
