The latest series adaptation of a video game great is finally getting a few faces: Amazon’s Fallout series has signed How I Met Your Mother star Kyle MacLachlan.
In addition, were according to variety also brought the lesser-known actors Xelia Mendes-Jones and Aaron Moten on board as actors for the Fallout series.
How I Met Your Mother star on board
Kyle MacLachlan plays the Captain on the popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother and also stars in the recent sequel How I Met Your Father. In addition, he has appeared in the drama series Good Wife and he was also seen in the role of Orson Hodge in the Desperate Housewives. He had his breakthrough in the nineties as Dale Cooper in the mystery series Twin Peaks.
It is not yet clear which character MacLachlan will play in the Fallout series produced by Amazon. It’s a similar story for his fellow actors: We don’t know who Xelia Mendes-Jones and Aaron Moten, known from the TV series Navy CIS, are impersonating. The three actors join Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins in the show appearing on Amazon Prime Video.

At least the makers behind the cameras are pretty much set: Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are taking over as executive producers and co-showrunners. They will share the job with Jonathan Nolan, who is busy directing the pilot, and Lisa Joy, who previously directed HBO’s sci-fi drama Westworld.
There’s also Todd Howard and James Altman from Bethesdas, as well as Athena Wickham from Kilter Films. The studios of Amazon, Bethesda and Kilter have been working on the series for some time, but there is still no concrete release date in the room. After the release of The Witcher and the planned production of The Last of Us, we can in all likelihood look forward to further series and film adaptations of well-known video game series in the future.
