Need for Speed Most Wanted 2: Fan Concept Trailer with Unreal Engine 5

from Alexander Ney
The YouTube channel “Enfant Terrible” is dedicated to the production of video game trailers for fictional titles, but also shows gameplay scenes from existing new games. With the video “Imagining Need for Speed Most Wanted 2”, Enfant Terrible recently demonstrated what a sequel to the racing game about illegal street races in Unreal Engine 5 could look like.

The trailer “Imagining Need for Speed Most Wanted 2” begins with three police patrol cars chasing a hot sports car that appears to be participating in an illegal street race. However, this is not an official trailer, but the personal vision of the people behind the YouTube channel “Enfant terrible”. The operators have repeatedly presented their game ideas that have become trailers, for example with an imaginary Dark Souls 4 or a desired remake of the Capcom classic Dino Crisis. What all these fictional titles have in common is that they took shape using the Unreal Engine 5 and testify to the good expertise of the makers.

NFSMW 2: How about it, EA?

In detail, “Imagining Need for Speed Most Wanted 2” shows very authentic racing sleds such as the Porsche 911 Turbo S and GT3 RS and convinces with pretty reflections on the bodies, great tunnel light effects and dense mountain fog. However, the creators of Enfant Terrible are not only interested in powerfully cut racing scenes, but also in personalizing a car, carried out in a simulated editor. Here, both the color of the body and changes to the rims are made, followed by a quick look inside the vehicle.

The Need for Speed series not only inspires Enfant Terrible to make trailers, although Youtuber Dávid Kerekes doesn’t seem to want to limit it to just pictures. In April he presented his project progress with “Need For Speed 3 in Unreal Engine 5”, porting the levels of the 1998 racer to Unreal Engine 5 – using the original 3D models.
