Ubisoft disables multiplayer for 15 older games - you also lose DLCs

Publisher Ubisoft has announced that it will shut down the servers of some older titles on September 1, 2022.

Several Assassin’s Creed games and other classic titles from series such as Far Cry, Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell are affected.

Not only affects online modes

The problem for PC users is that for some titles they will no longer be able to install or access DLCs. Future Soldier’s campaign only works in offline mode.

“This allows us to focus our resources on providing a great experience for players who are playing newer or more popular titles,” the publisher said, explaining the reason for the server closure.

Units and challenges for the respective games on Ubisoft Connect will be deactivated, and you will no longer be able to unlock additional content for these titles there.
