Geforce RTX 3080: KFA2 with official price reductions for two models

from Norman Wittkopf
While graphics cards are currently moving back into lower price ranges, a manufacturer has officially adjusted its price recommendations accordingly with KFA2.

After a long period of overprice and poor availability, graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia have been back on the road to normalization since the beginning of the year, although high-end models have been selling below the manufacturer’s recommended retail price (RRP) for some time now and again are available.

Manufacturer KFA2 has reacted to this and lowered the retail price (RRP) for two custom models of the Geforce RTX 3080 with 10 and 12 GiByte graphics memory, according to the press release, although the previous prices are not highlighted. the KFA2 Geforce RTX 3080 SG (1-Click OC) is therefore in any case now available in stores at the RRP of 849.99 euros including VAT, while the KFA2 Geforce RTX 3080 12GB SG LHR (1-Click OC) Should cost 949.99 euros.

The prices have already arrived in the PCGH price comparison, although the listings have been in this price range since mid to late June. In the case of the RTX 3080, it is currently by a narrow margin the second cheapest modelwhile the 12 GB variant is already available from other manufacturers starts at around 912 euros.

Pre-generational prices still high

As is well known, Nvidia’s reference design of the RTX 3080 was launched at the end of 2020 for an original RRP of 699 euros (which was later adjusted), while the 12 GB card released earlier this year no longer had an official RRP. Meanwhile, as is well known, the new graphics card generations from AMD and Nvidia in the form of the Radeon RX 7000 and Geforce RTX 4000 series are expected at the end of the year, but due to full stock and reduced demand, at least in the case of Nvidia could be delayed until early next year.
