Rumor has it that Rockstar Games already has plans Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 remakes dropped from their development plans. This is from a report by the game magazine kotaku out, which refers to new leaks.

Although the projects may not be abandoned entirely, Rockstar Games wants to concentrate fully on the development of GTA 6 for the time being. Because of negative feedback However, for “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” it is quite possible that the company’s strategy will change course.

The already released remakes too GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas mainly had to struggle with technical problems and received partly devastating ratings from the community. Another remake could have either saved or completely destroyed Rockstar Games’ reputation, depending on the quality of the game achieved.

Allegedly already for many years have been worked on the remakes. GTA 6, on the other hand, should only appear in several years, even if it has still not been officially announced.

Despite all the criticism, the GTA Trilogy sold over 10 million times and was therefore probably a financial success for the publisher. By 2022, the first part of Red Dead Redemption came out about 44 million units sold worldwide – a remake would be quite lucrative here.
