E3 Expo will be back in Los Angeles next year after a three-year hiatus.

The Los Angeles Convention Center will once again be the gathering place for the gaming industry in 2023 when E3 returns for the first time in three years.

As Variety reports, E3 2023 will take place in the second week of June. However, an exact date has not yet been set.

Next year the fair will be organized by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) in cooperation with ReedPop. The events company is behind events like PAX, New York Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration.

Commenting on the return next year, Stanley Pierre-Louis, ESA President and CEO said: “We are thrilled to bring E3 back as an in-person event with ReedPop, a world leader in pop culture events. The past three years have confirmed that E3 brings our industry together like no other event.”

According to ESA, visitors can look forward to “a week of gigantic AAA reveals, earth-shattering world premieres and exclusive glimpses into the future of video games”.

It has been known since June that the Summer Game Fest by initiator Geoff Keighley will also take place in 2023, and thus for the fourth time. Here, too, the event will be on site and digital.
