WoW: When will WotLK Classic and the pre-patch start? We calculate!
Many Classic fans are currently wondering when the pre-patch for WoW: Wrath of the Lich King will start and when the phase with the experience point buff could start. We use our phone joker and call Adam Riese!
the second beta phase of WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic is currently running, as is well known, and that in turn means that it can’t be too long before the launch of the Northrend adventure. But before that happens, there has to be an extensively long pre-patch party with death knights and restart servers! And then Blizzard is still planning an experience point buffwhich should make leveling easier for us for several weeks before the launch of WotLK Classic.
That is known!
The big question now is, of course: When is what coming? In the following we summarize what is known. We then use the facts to determine possible dates.
So when is what?
If you throw all the points mentioned above into one pot, there are still no 100% certain dates, but at least the time periods can be narrowed down, which is also the case, for example Youtuber Scottejaye already did a few days ago. His tip, and we agree with it:
- Experience point buff coming on July 20th or 27th, 2022
- Current Arena season ends August 3, 2022
- Server merge coming August 10, 2022
- The beta ends on August 17, 2022, the pre-patch starts and the fresh start servers go live
- WotLK Classic will be released on September 14, 2022
That way we would have a pre-patch phase of four weeks, the XP buff would be active for a total of seven to eight weeks and the information about the supposed leak would be correct. Would this schedule suit you? And how realistic do you think the data are? Tell us in the comments!

Schedule doesnt suit me at all and the dates are not realistic at all.
Hilarious considering the xp buff came out today.
