After the summer update of GTA Online I finally never have to worry about annoying griefers again

It’s official: GTA Online is getting a summer update. Developer Rockstar Games has now revealed the first information about the summer content and MeinMMO author Maik Schneider can’t stop grinning because of a small change. All new information is available here on MeinMMO.

As in previous years, GTA Online will also get a summer update in 2022 with new content and some improvements. But before we get to the new content, I want to highlight one change in particular:

• Sell ​​Missions can be started in invite-only sessions after the Summer Update

Whether it’s selling our stolen cars, shipping cocaine into Blain County, or distributing forged documents, we no longer have to deal with griefers who burn our precious cargo to ash with two rockets.

There has always been the possibility of tricking around a bit and carrying out the deliveries without foreign players. But after the summer update, we can “legally” bring our illegal goods to their destination without disruption.

Finally no more stress with annoying grumblers during deliveries – unless I feel like fighting nerves in open lobbies.

GTA Online Summer Update: Missions, Money and Oppressor Nerf

When is the summer update coming? There is no exact date yet. The latest community update speaks of “in a few weeks”. Based on the experience of the last few years, we expect the following release dates:

• July 19 or 20
• July 26 or 27
• August 2nd or 3rd

What content does the summer update offer? When it comes to content, Rockstar is currently still holding back. A few bits of information have already been served to us:

• The aforementioned sale in invitation-only sessions
• More changes to the MkII Oppressor and countermeasures
• “Criminal Enterprises” are further deepened
• New contact missions as an IAA agent
• General increase in GTA$ payouts for all activities
• Bodyguards, staff and MC members also get more “salary”
• Seasonal events, bonuses, gifts and other surprises

The information about the summer update is still poor at the moment, but it could already be an absolute top update. I no longer expected that we would actually get servers on which we could take the deliveries away on our own.
