Are you hoping for a remake of Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus? It looks bad
The chances of a remake or remaster of Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus are currently rather slim.
Tetsuya Nomura, Director of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and Producer Yoshinori Kitase spoke to Famitsu about this topic.
The whole world of Final Fantasy 7
According to Nomura, the original goal was to also deliver a remaster of Dirge of Cerberus and Before Crisis because the team wanted to represent every aspect of the Final Fantasy 7 world in one game. This is also the reason why certain characters appear as bosses in Intergrade.
In view of the costs, however, remakes of these games are off the table for now, says Nomura. Crisis Core, on the other hand, was too important to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth story to leave it on the PlayStation Portable.
Of course, it cannot be ruled out that Square Enix will also make remakes of the games mentioned at some point, but there are currently no plans for this. So don’t expect the publisher to surprisingly pull such a project out of a hat any time soon.
Famitsu’s new interview for FF7 Rebirth on 7/7 with Nomura and Kitase has big info:

-Nomura wants players to enjoy CCFF7R & FF7 EC and connect them to the trilogy 🤯
