Twitch Star xQc Gambles Nearly €170,000 In 2 Minutes - Concerned Fans Advise: "Get Help"

He used to be known for GTA 5 and as an Overwatch professional, but today Twitch star Félix “xQc” Lengyel mainly makes a name for himself with casino streams. Now the 26-year-old Canadian has gone viral again after gambling away $164,320 in just a few moments on the live stream. MeinMMO tells you why he didn’t bat an eyelid and what the fans have to say.

This is the situation:

Gambled $170,000 in 140 seconds without batting an eyelid

Is it addiction? “Unlucky in gambling, lucky in love”. If you want to believe the saying, Félix “xQc” Lengyel should be doing really well privately. The former Overwatch pro has been under criticism for his gambling streams for some time. He plays in online casinos and advertises them. Especially with regard to his younger fans, many find these practices questionable. So far, however, the streamer has vehemently defended itself. After all, it’s not his job to raise children.

Now it has gone viral again. Content creator Jake Lucky posted a clip on Twitter showing xQc gambling a whopping $164,320 in just 140 seconds. He says life doesn’t feel real anymore after seeing it.

xQc gambles away $170,000 in 140 seconds and doesn’t even bat an eyelid

It is not the first time that xQc has suffered high losses when gambling. However, what particularly shocks viewers and commentators here is the sheer speed at which his bank balance is being depleted – and the streamer’s lack of response. Except for the occasional “What the fuck” he seems to be pretty cold. Sure, it says in the comments, it’s not his own money either. He would only get that from the casino for promotional purposes.

But others are also concerned.

That’s what addiction looks like. Get help, X

In fact, xQc had already said of itself that it was easily addicted to things and not least because of this temporarily stopped gambling. When others ask him about a possible gambling addiction, he reacts rather defensively. In May he said: “I lost some money yesterday, what about it?”

But not everyone feels sorry. In addition to the well-known criticism that xQc can entice its viewers to gamble, there is also resentment from people whose entire lives could be changed by $170,000. “Man, I just need $2,500 to fix my roof” or “The whole thing [Geld] in the bucket” can be read in the comments. Whether the money is his own or was provided by the casino, it seems like xQc has completely lost touch with the amounts he’s gambling. He keeps hitting the button to get the slots rolling again and doesn’t seem to really notice the losses or the smaller wins in between.

It could soon become the “face of gambling addiction” for the “face of Twitch”. Because the title “Streamer of the Year” will probably be brought in by someone else.

In May 2022, the popular German streamer Simon “Unge” Wiefels from “unspiel” showed that there is another way. He rejected a €5 million deal and slammed the casino streams.
