iOS 16: Latest beta includes Steve Jobs Easter Egg

offer

On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs presented the world with the very first iPhone. The current iOS 16 Beta 3 contains a reminder of this moment. This is a very special wallpaper.

Anyone who saw Steve Jobs’ presentation of the first iPhone back then might still remember the wallpaper on the smartphone. You could see two clownfish hiding between sea anemones. The background image was later again in Apple’s well-known TV commercial “Hello” to see. However, the clown fish wallpaper was never available to users of the first iPhone, like phone arena reported. And even in the later generations of the iPhone, there was no trace of the background image – until now.

Clownfish wallpapers finally available in iOS 16 Beta 3

15 years after Steve Jobs presented the iPhone with the clown fish wallpaper, it now appears – at least for some users – to be available in the third beta of iOS 16. The iconic wallpaper was discovered by JackRoberts, a tech enthusiast. He asked via tweet whether other iPhone users with iOS Beta 3 had noticed the new clown fish wallpaper. Some reported that they can also select said wallpaper, while others were missing the wallpaper.

Will the clown fish wallpaper come to everyone in the final iOS version?

It is currently unclear why only some users with iOS 16 Beta 3 have access to the iconic background. However, the wallpaper does not appear to be tied to specific iPhone models, as several users with different iPhones reported that the background shows up in their choices. At the moment it may still be random who gets the clown fish wallpaper and when. It is also currently uncertain whether the background will make it into the final version of iOS 16, which is due to be released this September.
