Particularly nice people are rewarded with a rare item in Valorant

Riot Games, the developer and publisher of Valorant, provided instructions on their website to get a rare item in the game. However, players can only obtain the Riot Gun Buddy through positive behavior.

A rare item is currently available in Valorant with the “Riot Gun Buddy” or “Fist Bump Gun Buddy”. However, the prerequisite for the item is that you are nice people and that a Riot employee also notices that.

How do I get the Riot Gun Buddy? The Riot developers explained in a post exactly what you have to do for the item: “Show good sportsmanship during a game while a Riot employee is present.”

It also states that the player should behave positively and be a motivating force within the Valorant team.

It was also emphasized that players should always be nice to each other. Now they just have the additional chance to get a reward for it.

Is the Riot Gun Buddy Item Limited? Each Rioter has a limited number of Fist Bumps to give out to players.

What shouldn’t I do? Since the number of Fist Bumps is limited, the Rioters think carefully about who they issue them to.

According to Riot Games, it is therefore not recommended to ask directly for the item. That rather reduces the chance of getting a Riot Gun Buddy.

Players should also refrain from writing to employees on social networks such as Twitter or Instagram and asking about the item. Because: “The punch is a reward for good sportsmanship, not a reward for following Rioters on Twitter”.

Can I buy the Riot Gun Buddy? A very clear no. If someone wants money for the item but pretends to be a Riot employee, that’s cheating. Riot Games does not charge money for the item.

Fake Riot employees who want money should be reported by the players in the game.
