WoW: A blow to the classic community? XP buff live… for Shadowlands
The WoW developers have a crude sense of humor. WoW Classic fans have been waiting for what feels like ages and emotionally for the 50% XP buff… coming to Shadowlands players with this week’s live server reset for Season 4! But calm blood, the WoW makers tweet that they haven’t forgotten the classic players.
This is perhaps a somewhat strange way of communication between developer and player: WoW Classic fans have been waiting for weeks for the promised 50 percent XP buff for Burning Crusade Classic, so they can finally go flat out leveling their alts to get them ready for Northrend. But apart from the announcement of this buff, there has been silence from the Classic developers at Blizzard since then.
It gets a little (much) stranger that just this week (July 20th, 2022 in Europe) with the server reset of WoW: Shadowlands a… 50 percent XP buff for the live servers will be switched on . This is what the players from the US servers are reporting and this is what Blizzard developers are tweeting themselves. In preparation for Shadowlands season 4, which starts on August 3rd, 2022 in our latitudes, you will benefit from the Wind of Wisdom from July 20th, 2022, until the start of Season 4.
Oh wow Blizzard, that communication!
It’s just stupid that this buff has been promised to the Classic players for some time, and they are now explicitly excluded. in the Blog post about the buff It is noted: “The experience bonus is not available in Classic versions of World of Warcraft (buy now )® available”. Ouch. Accordingly, the Classic fans express their displeasure under the post.
The developers of World of Warcraft emphasize that Classic fans have not been forgotten. However, players with a taste for retro WoW worry that Wrath of the Lich King Classic could somehow hop and hop release without a comfortable lead time – or a time to line up the holiday for Northrend adventure.
