WoW: If you want to troll your fellow players, you have to play Rufer in Dragonflight

The new class in World of Warcraft Dragonflight has the best ability to troll – at least find WoW demon Cortyn and reveal what makes the Dracthyr so “great”.

In World of Warcraft, cooperation and team play is particularly important if you want to achieve success in dungeons, raids or in PvP. Skillful blending of skills, collusion, and coordination is an important factor in surviving the adversities of Azeroth. But do you know what that is?

Boring.

At least sometimes. Sometimes it’s just a lot more fun to lead your teammates to their direct or indirect death. As a die-hard fan of the deadly Swap Blaster and Keep-Cooldown Leap of Faith Priest, it always gives me a sardonic delight when I can troll friends and guildmates a little.

This is exactly why World of Warcraft is forcing me to call the caller to play the new class in Dragonflight.

The Dracthyr Callers will be the best class for trolling – at least so far.

Because both the change blaster and the leap of faith both have a pretty big disadvantage, you have to position your character for it. For guildmates who have had to put up with my “friendly teasing” for a number of years, the alarm bells will of course ring immediately when my priestess runs happily towards an abyss or a deadly field of fire.

Luckily, the World of Warcraft developers understand my suffering and are bringing The Caller (with a ridiculous amount of adjustments). He can choose the wonderful ability “Fly With Me” in his talent tree as “Flies with me”. In fact, the ability is so beautifully central in the talent tree that I can hardly miss it (and would never miss it in my life).

New ability lets you carry friends right into the fire

“Fly With Me” lets the character select a target location within 30 meters. The Caller takes off, first flies to the currently selected ally, and then carries both players to the destination. The wowhead colleagues showed what this looks like in a small video that is circulating on the WoW subreddit:

Or to put it another way: The Rufer get the best possible talent at hand to troll their fellow players properly. Because now there is virtually no “early warning” anymore, because the caller does not have to stand near a source of danger first.

The troll potential has also been and is actively discussed in the various forums and has already caused some amusing memes, such as this one:

It is clear that “Fly with me” can also be quite strong if you use it properly. Saving another person and yourself is a pretty cool thing. In raids, one will probably even assign the callers to other characters who are not so quick on their feet. The potential for really cool, awesome saves is just enormous… but just as great is the potential to annoy your own party with it.

My guild members probably already have a small vein of anger pulsating on their foreheads just at the idea – but they have to get through it now. Maybe it’s better that Blizzard even warns about this class.

On that note: Thank you, Blizzard. This is exactly the ability that makes me look forward to Dragonflight that little bit more…
