In GTA 5 the strangest things are always discovered. Sometimes it has to do with aliens, conspiracies and very special Easter eggs. But sometimes these things are just discovered by chance and reveal more about the tricks developers use when building their games. As in this case: In a mission, two trucks are apparently flying through the area, but they are usually invisible. But a fan has now discovered them and made them visible again, which leads to a really absurd and funny sight.

That’s what it’s about: Even after nine years, GTA 5 still has secrets that nobody has discovered so far. Or they have already been discovered but have never reached the wider public, which of course can always be the case. In this case, it’s about two invisible trucks that fly around – and look extremely funny when they are made visible.

What’s happening? Actually in this mission we have to track the yacht on the trailer of a truck. But in this video you can see that we are accompanied by two hovering trucks. They stay close to the other truck and seem to eye it critically from two different perspectives. The whole thing is probably only in this one GTA 5 mission.

That could be the reason: If you’re now wondering why the hell those two trucks are flying around, you’re not alone. The creator of the video, named Lucas, asked himself the same thing. Apparently the two trucks provide us with a camera perspective. Why trucks of all things were used for this and why it was regulated in this way remains quite unclear. It might be speed related:

This is reminiscent of the trick used by the people behind the game in Fallout 3. For some reason it was easier to program the moving trains in the Broken Steel DLC when they were sort of just hats on regular characters’ heads. Accordingly, they walk around behind the scenes underground – with a track on their heads as a huge helmet.
