Players in ESO own all the DLCs without spending a dime on the MMORPG
A player shares on The Elder Scrolls Online subreddit that he bought all the DLCs with gold instead of investing real money. Users ask him how he did it.
The post from player WagyuBeefCubes shows that you can progress in ESO without money. He just bought the base game and farmed the rest. He says he never subscribed to ESO Plus and never bought crowns, ESO’s real-money currency.
Already in the title of his post, he calls on the community to ask him all sorts of questions.
Exchanged farmed gold for crowns
“For all you equally jaded/ poor/ financially challenged players out there: It’s possible without a ridiculous grind,” explains WagyuBeefCubes.
He exchanges his gold for crowns. With him in North America, the course is around 1:1500, i.e. one crown for 1500 gold. On the European servers, the rate is currently around 1:1800, sometimes 1:2000.
How do you get crowns for gold? There are communities such as the Tamriel Crown Exchange. She takes care of the fact that players get content from the crown store for in-game gold.
The Crown Store has a gift feature that allows DLCs and other content to be gifted. So you pay another player to buy you content for real money.
Tamriel Crown Exchange makes sure the transfer is safe and you don’t get scammed. However, there is no 100% guarantee that everything will run without fraud. So be careful.
This is what crowns usually cost: You get 1,500 crowns for 13 euros, 3,000 crowns for 21 euros. Volume discounts make them “cheaper” the more you spend. For example, you can buy 21,000 crowns for 125 euros. There are several ways to save on crowns and DLCs.

For example, to buy the DLC Dragonhold, you have to exchange 3.6 million gold at a rate of 1:1800.
However, you cannot buy expansions for crowns, only directly with real money. The Crown Store only has the 3 DLCs released each year.

Community asks for tips on how to get gold fast
Of course, in the comments, users are now asking how the player got so much gold. Supposedly yes without a huge grind.
“As a favor to everyone here, I’ll ask the most important question: which source gave you the most gold?” asks Turbulent_Dare3263.
WagyuBeefCubes replies that he did it mostly through trading. He buys items that are cheap on the market and sells them for more. He is not the best trader in his guild, but earns 16 to 19 million gold per week through these sales.
He got many of his tricks from the YouTuber Artteawhich he mentions several times within his answers.
How long did it take him to do this? According to the player, it took about 6 months to be able to buy all the DLCs with gold. Unfortunately, he does not reveal the exact hours of play.
