Gamescom 2022 will start in Cologne on August 24, 2022. But before the exhibition halls open, there will be another opening night event by Geoff Keighley. The well-known industry insider and moderator has now revealed the general conditions for the live stream via Twitter.

By the way: Developers and publishers who want to throw out a trailer or an announcement at the opening night event must also be present at the actual trade fair. All the big players who have canceled, such as Sony, Nintendo, Activision, Blizzard, 2K, Rockstar Games or Wargaming, will not be an issue on August 23, 2022. Companies that have pledged include THQ Nordic, Team Xbox, Aerosoft, Assemble Entertainment, Bandai Namco Entertainment, HandyGames, Kalypso Media, Koch Media, Level Infinite (Tencent Games), and more.
