iPhone gets backbone controller inspired by Playstation Dualsense

If you would like to play games for the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 on your smartphone, you can take advantage of Sony’s Playstation Remote Play feature: owners of a PS4 or PS5 can use it to stream compatible games to a mobile device or PC. In order to sweeten this offer for users and to create a real Playstation feeling on the iPhone, Sony, in cooperation with Backbone, has now presented the Backbone One Controller in Dualsense design.

Controller not only for remote play but also other mobile titles

The Backbone One in the Playstation Edition is identical to the normal Backbone One controller, but is based on the look of the Dualsense. The special model was designed directly by Sony’s own designers and comes in the typical PS5 white with the four iconic Playstation buttons. Otherwise, the arrangement and selection of the keys remain the same as in the standard version of the Backbone One.

Sony is promoting the Backbbone One Playstation Edition as an officially licensed accessory for Playstation fans who regularly use Remote Play. However, users can also use the controller apart from Remote Play for other mobile games that support controller control, such as Call of Duty: Mobile or Genshin Impact. However, the special edition is currently only available for the iPhone. The power supply of the controller works directly via the iPhone, a separate power supply is not required.

In the Playstation Edition, the Backbone One costs 119.99 euros, the same as the normal Backbone Controller and is now available in the Backbone online shop. Buyers get three months of Discord Nitro and one month of Apple Arcade free with the controller. Shipping is by Fedex International Priority and is free.
