Multiversus: First update brings stage from Rick & Morty – News

With an update, Warner Bros. Interactive has added the first additional map for the open beta of the Super Smash Bros. reminiscent brawler multiversus released. In the Free2Play title, there are all sorts of characters from universes to which Warner Bros. Interactive holds the rights. This affects TV cartoon versions of DC superheroes like Batman and wonder womanclassic characters like bugs bunny and characters from more modern animated series like Steven Universebut also comparatively weird guest appearances like Arya Stark game of Thrones and Lebron James.

The title heroes will soon be out Rick & Morty expand the character set. A stage inspired by that series has now found its way into the game via said update. However, this was not just published, but was linked to a community challenge. Enemies should be knocked out of the ring 10 million times to unlock the stage. 3 hours later the challenge was already declared fulfilled and the level appeared. That seems to be evidence of the current enduring popularity of the Multiversus beta, which a day after launch had over 150,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, beating all of the publisher’s other games in that category.

On the one hand, the monetization of Multiversus is based on the common microtransaction possibilities for cosmetic skins. On the other hand, you only have four playable characters available free of charge – which four there are changes every two weeks. If you buy so-called founder packages, they include character passes, with which one fighter is permanently unlocked.
