Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: New anime trailer is not stingy with violence

To get in the mood for the launch of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Netflix has now released a brand new trailer for the anime series.

The series is a collaboration between CD Projekt and Japanese animation studio Trigger (Little Witch Academia, Kill la Kill).

A look at the aisle

The new trailer not only focuses on some violence, it also introduces the entire gang that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is about.

The series, which has been in the works since 2018, consists of ten episodes and is in turn based on the world from CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners soundtrack is by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill series). The story describes Netflix as follows: “The series tells a standalone story over ten episodes about a street kid’s attempt to survive in Night City – a future city obsessed with technology and body modifications. Because everything is at stake for him, will he’s an edge runner – one of the lawless mercenaries also known as cyberpunks.”

The series is scheduled to start in September 2022, an exact date has not yet been set.
