Half-Life: Alyx – Incursion mod launches on Steam Workshop

What is Half-Life: Incursion?

Incursion is a wave shooter where the player can test their VR shooting skills against a small army of Combine soldiers from City 17. “We felt the campaign was a bit lacking in challenge as it is very friendly to new VR users,” the developers explain on the mod’s Steam Workshop page. “As such, this is a challenging level for experienced players Half-Life: Alyx Player.”

In this mod, Alyx Vance is captured at a Combine checkpoint in a wrong area of ​​City 17’s quarantine zone. She must now manage her resources using clever tactics to survive the ensuing battles. Incursion is designed more as a sandbox experience than the official campaign. So the mod takes place in a large, open level where both enemies and resources spawn in semi-random locations. So the gaming experience is slightly different with each playthrough. Some of the resources can be taken to a Combine-Fabricator to then craft a whole range of weapons and weapon attachments.

The trailer shows that Half-Life: Incursion is an intense gameplay experience, with plenty of opportunity for improvised combat tactics.
