Pokémon Crimson and Crimson: This is how the new raids work

Game Freak introduces the new Tera Raids in Pokémon Crimson and Crimson, which should provide more variety in the gameplay.

You team up with up to three other trainers and have to defeat teracrystallized Pokémon within a time limit.

What makes her so special?

You already know raids from Pokemon Sword and Shield. The difference with the Tera Raids is that you don’t have to wait for your turn again. Cooperation with others should therefore be more important.

By touching a sparkling crystal in the game world, you can participate in a Tera Raid. The color of the crystal tells you the type of the Tera Crystal Pokémon. You can fight with your team’s Pokémon or from your box.

As mentioned, you don’t have to wait for the actions of others. By working together, you can improve Pokémon’s stats or heal them.

Cheering is also possible, of which there are three types. Cheering affects all of the trainer’s Pokémon in battle. Depending on how you cheer, you increase attack and special attack, defense and special defense or your HP.

Anyone can cheer on at any time, which means you can also get supporting effects if none of your Pokémon have such an attack. But: Per Tera-Raid it is only possible to cheer on the team three different ways three times.

If you defeat the Pokémon within the time limit, you can try to catch it. A win also gives you a bunch of items.
