GTA 6 will be a "creative benchmark for the entertainment industry"

Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick believes GTA will become a “creative benchmark for the entertainment industry.” However, no details are known yet. The release is expected by March 2024.

Publisher Take Two has announced its quarterly figures and as part of this, of course, GTA 6 was also asked, because the title is without question the most important game in the portfolio when it comes to the financial development of the company. CEO Strauss Zelnick is already convinced that GTA 6 will be great.

“Development for the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is well underway, and the Rockstar Games team is committed to continuing to set the creative standard for the series, our industry, and the entertainment industry as a whole, as the label has done with everyone at the forefront of his releases,” said Zelnick.

GTA 6: Jason Schreier on rumors about the main characters

So far GTA is 6 not announced and will probably remain so for a few days. Traditionally, you get the first teaser out of the blue and then it usually doesn’t take that long until the release. At the moment the rumor mill sees the release between April 2023 and March 2024.

The development of GTA 6 was probably not quite so straightforward. Reports kept circulating that elementary components of the game had been changed. Key personnel are no longer on board either, which could be one of the reasons why development is said to have been a bit bumpy. Jason Schreier wants to know that it will be set in Miami and will have the series’ first female protagonist as part of a Bonny and Clyde-style duo. Notably, Schreier claimed that Rockstar’s original plans were much more ambitious, calling for a map that would cover “large parts of North and South America”. Ultimately, the map should now be as big as that of Red Dead Redemption 2.
