Destiny 2: It’s Vaporizing! Another hint at new Venom subclass

Could there be a new focus in the bottom left corner of the skill bar?

With Beyond Light, Destiny 2 developers have introduced the first new subclass subclass since the beginning of the Lootshooter saga: the Darkness subclass Stasis, whose gameplay revolves around slowing and freezing enemies. With the following expansion, The Witch Queen, there was already a debate as to whether there could be a new focus that revolves around things like DoT and poison damage to enemies – the setting of the throne world definitely gives it that.

However, the developers at Bungie decided to give the light foci Solar, Void and Arkus an all-round adjustment, which should grant a similar amount of freedom when building the builds as with Stasis. That’s why we’ve been able to enjoy Void Aspects and Fragments since Witch Queen launched, Season 17 brought the Solar rework, and Season 18 at the end of August 2022 will finally see Arkus. The rumor of a Vapor subclass for the lootshooter keepers but still holds up. And now there’s a new hint that the Poison subclass for Destiny 2 (buy now €19.50): Lightfall might be scheduled.

Artstation leak with mysterious icons

The Twitter account @DestinyTwoLeaks found a short video clip in a Bungie employee’s Artstation account that poses riddles. The Artstation account has since been taken offline, but the video is still there because the operator of DestinyTwoLeaks secured it.

At first glance, nothing unusual can be seen, you see a Titan with a Solar Melee that seems quite powerful in the church ruins of the EDZ – it’s probably a finisher. But it’s not about the animation, it’s about the ability display on the bottom left.

Typically, the skills are colored in the color of the subclass you have equipped… only there is currently no subclass associated with the color green in Destiny 2. Solar is orange-red, Arc is light blue, Void is violet, and Stasis is dark blue. Of course, the green color alone gives hope that this is a vapor focus. Various in-game weapon effects related to poisons, such as Dorn projectile DoT damage or Osteo Striga bullets, are currently displayed in green. According to many Destiny 2 fans, the skill icons are also new and have not yet been found in the game.

Lightfall Live Stream on August 23, 2022 will reveal all

Now the question arises: Are these really icons and the coloring of a new subclass focus? Vapor hello? Or are they simply placeholder colors? We don’t know, and the Bungie folks are keeping quiet. You don’t have to wait long for clarification. On August 23, 2022, the developers want the showcase live stream not only present season 18, but also some features of the Destiny 2 expansion Lightfall, which is expected in spring 2023. So then we’ll have certainty… won’t we?
