Wreckreation: New open-world racing game announced by ex-Criterion developers

British developer Three Fields Entertainment (Dangerous Golf, Dangerous Driving) has announced a new open world racing game called Wreckreation.

The title from the studio founded by ex-Criterion developers is described as a high-speed racing game with crashes, stunts and exploration on a 400 square mile map.

A state just for you

This map represents a fictional US state divided into four areas, which in turn feature different biomes such as forests and sandy beaches.

It should be up to you alone how you tackle the challenges in Wreckreation. You should explore the map in search of new races, shortcuts and challenges.

You can do all this against AI opponents as well as against human players in multiplayer mode. The focus is on the latter and this also applies to the creative aspects.

With the help of in-game tools you can build your own races, place trees, decorations, ramps, track parts, ski jumps and more, and you can also customize the rules. For example, you determine which vehicles can be used, what type of race it is and what the weather and time of day are like. Once you’ve created a course, you can share it with friends or the rest of the world.

Wreckreation is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
