According to rumors, AMD plans to introduce the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU series on August 30, 2022 and launch it on September 15, 2022. Various partners already have one extensive list published which mainboards they want to release for AMD’s new platform AM5.

Now, according to the Twitter user 188号 and the tech website wccftech.com first mainboards for socket AM5 and AMD’s Zen 4 CPUs and the X670 chipset appeared. Three Italian dealers had two mainboards from MSI listed with prices on their website: the MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFi (see teaser image) and the MSI Pro X670-P WiFi.

The MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFi is available for purchase for prices between 560 and 650 euros and the MSI Pro X670-P WiFi for prices between 374 and 426 euros on the retailers’ websites, all prices including 22 percent Italian VAT.

Based on the chipset and the equipment, these two mainboards probably form the upper class or high-end class for the AM5 socket, since the X670 (comparable to the X570) is traditionally the more expensive of the two chipsets and the B650 (comparable to the B450/550) there will be a cheaper version with less equipment.
