FIFA 23 collaboration with Marvel turns foosball into superheroes

Your FUT Heroes become superheroes in FIFA 23.

We could already foresee that a cooperation with Marvel was in the starting blocks due to a leak a few weeks ago. Now EA Sports has made the unusual partnership official. What you can expect are special comic versions of the likes of Yaya Touré and Claudio Marchisio making their return to the pitch as FUT Heroes in FIFA 23.

Superheroes in the Ultimate Edition

When the Marvel logo appeared a few days earlier in connection with EA’s new football simulation, the astonishment was already great. Now we know that FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition pre-orders will include special FUT Hero Cards inspired and designed by Marvel Comics as part of the Qatar World Cup.

And this is what the new FUT Heroes look like as superheroes:

According to EA, the cards of 21 FUT Heroes will receive a special comic design and turn them into Marvel Super Heroes. So far, the cards have been published by Yaya Touré, Claudio Marchisio, Landon Donovan, Ricardo Carvalho and Park Ji-Sung. More maps will follow in the coming weeks.

However, the cooperation between EA and Marvel does not end with FUT Heroes. As the developer and publisher announced, there will also be “choreos, jerseys, balls and more” for FIFA Ultimate Team in Marvel design, which appear during the World Cup period.

In addition, a comic book and biographies written by Marvel, which shed light on the superhero background of the soccer stars, are to be published in the coming weeks.
