Officially, very little is known about the editions, but the professors, for example, differed significantly from one another.

Pokémon Crimson & Crimson will have some differences as usual. But this time the different editions could go further than we are used to. This may have something to do with the time travel theme: According to a new leak, there could even be 14 exclusive Pokémon, so-called paradox forms. Seven of these would be limited to one of the two versions and we have a first, as yet unofficial, list of the Pokémon for you.

Paradox Pokémon may only come in one version

That’s what it’s about: Time is of the essence in Pokémon Crimson and Pokémon Crimson. As the two professors and the legendary Pokémon have already shown, the two different editions primarily open up a temporal contrast. The past faces the future and time travel appears to play a role as well. No time travel without a proper paradox and accordingly there could be so-called paradox Pokémon in the next Pokémon part.

What is that supposed to be? According to the latest leaks, these Paradox Pokémon are said to be Pokémon that appear exclusively in just one edition. At least in their respective, special form. They always correspond to the right time. That means there are supposedly past forms in Pokémon Crimson and corresponding future versions in Crimson.

There is apparently some duplication if the leaks are correct. For example, there should be a future and a past form of Donphan and Ramoth, so each game would have its own version. The rest of the Pokémon should only be available in their respective crimson or purple editions.

Possible future forms from Pokémon Purple

According to the leak, these Pokémon could only be found in an exclusive future form in Pokémon Purple:

  • Donphan
  • Ramoth
  • Galagladi
  • Hariyama
  • Viscogon (even the leaker seems unsure here though)
  • despotary
  • botogel

Possible past forms from Pokémon Crimson

Conversely, these Pokémon could only exist in Pokémon Crimson in their exclusive past-form:

  • Donphan
  • Ramoth
  • Hatsass
  • magnet zone
  • Brutalanda
  • Jigglypuff
  • Traunfugil

But beware! So far, these are only unconfirmed leaks and by no means official information. So you should still enjoy the whole thing with caution as long as there are no announcements about it. On top of that, the alleged information is based on CentroLeaks probably also on the riddle leaks by Riddler Khu, who in the past has been correct several times with his predictions.

More concentrated information to the next Pokémon part:

When is Gen 9 coming? Before long, by the end of the year, we’ll be able to dig into the new, this time seamless, open world of the next Pokémon game. More specifically, Pokémon Crimson and Crimson are coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 18th.

What do you think of such exclusive, time-different versions? Which edition do you want to buy?
