The Valiant: First gameplay revealed for upcoming strategy highlight

Fans of real-time strategy games will surely already have The Valiant on their screens. THQ Nordic has now released the first gameplay scenes for the recently announced title.

It was only in May of this year that the publisher unveiled the new RTS game The Valiant. In terms of content, it will be set at the time of the Crusades. The focus is on the former knight Theoderich von Akenburg, who must put on his armor again and stop his old companion Ulrich von Grevel from tracking down a powerful relic that would give him untold evil powers.

On the way there, Theodoric meets other comrades-in-arms and has to survive numerous battles. What these look like can now be seen for the first time in the following trailer:

The Valiant: More small unit tactics

There won’t be any big battles in The Valiant, instead you’ll go into battle with smaller squads, which include a wide variety of specialists. In the single player mode you will be able to play through 15 missions, for which you can choose from several so-called hero squads. The many weapons, armor and abilities result in a variety of builds for your own characters.

Those who prefer to play with others also get a lot on offer: A co-op mode for up to three players should be included, in which you always have to face new waves of opponents, as is the case on the corresponding home page Nordic means. Online, PvP carnage will again be the order of the day, with either 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 play.

The Valiant is being developed by Kite Games from Ungang and is planned for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S appear. There is currently no date for the release.
