Warzone Season 5: release and trailer

When does Season 5 start? Even if Activision has not yet announced the date, the next season in Warzone traditionally always starts immediately after the end of the previous one. Since Season 4 Reloaded is set to end on August 24th, it’s likely to continue seamlessly with Season 5 on the same day. In all likelihood, Season 5 will start here in Germany at 6:00 p.m.

  • begin – August 24, 6:00 p.m. (probably)

What content is coming with Season 5? So far, developer Raven Software has kept a low profile about what is planned in detail for the new season. Some information has already leaked through a leak. In our overview we list everything that has been rumored about Warzone Season 5 so far:

  • Crossover event with Netflix (Thematic reference to the series “The Umbrella Academy”)
  • New operators: Raul Mendez from Black Ops 2, Rorke from CoD Ghosts and Serpah from Black Ops 3. The villains from past parts of the series appear to be coming to the shop with bundles
  • New Battle Pass
  • New limited-time modes
  • New balancing updates and nerfs

What weapons will there be? With each season, new weapons are also introduced in Warzone. Although the meta is heavily influenced by the update each season, it will take a few days for a nerf to occur. For example, in Season 4 Reloaded, there is a Broken Sniper in Warzone that gets one-shot kills in the chest. According to a leak, the following weapons should be included in Warzone from Season 5:

  • FN2000 (F-November): An assault rifle that matches Modern Warfare 2
  • EM1 (Emike1): Forerunner of the EM2, probably with a slow rate of fire, but high damage per bullet
  • K-Gun: A pistol, probably the KG99 / TEC-9 with a large magazine
  • RA 225 (Previously unknown weapon)

How much disk space will the update require? Call of Duty Warzone has always been a very memory hungry game. So far, the official information is not known, but the Season 4 update required around 30 GB of free space for the update process and then installed over 20 GB on the hard drive. Of course, the download size for the next update can be completely different, but you should still make sure you have enough space on your hard drive.

Will there be a preload for Season 5? There is no official information on this either. With the last updates, however, the players had to do without a preload. It is therefore very unlikely that you will be able to download the data beforehand.

What else is changing? Since two new maps only came into play in Season 4 with Rebirth Island and Fortunes Keep, there will probably be no new map for Warzone Season 5. In addition, Season 5 may be Warzone’s last season, as Warzone 2 is expected to be released later this year.

In any case, Season 5 will be the last to be released before Modern Warfare 2 is released. It remains to be seen to what extent Warzone will be supplied with new content after the release of the successor.
