Even before Gamescom 2022, where the DLC with the melodious subtitle Bloody Ties, will be presented, Techland is showing a first teaser that provides a few clues about the content.
The developers of Dying Light 2 recently announced that the open-world course battlefield will be supplied with new content for a full five years. Some of these are chargeable, others are not. The new DLC Bloody Ties, which will be released later this year, probably belongs in the first category and takes an unusual approach for the game.
Presentation at the opening night
The upcoming add-on content for Dying Light 2 introduces a new Raiders faction who keep themselves entertained with bloody arena battles in their free time. Alongside the teaser, Techland explains: “What dangers await you? How can you defeat them? What will you get in return? One thing is for sure… it’s going to be brutal!”
It looks like the ever-friendly Dying Light 2 protagonist, Aiden, is going to go even harder in the DLC to blast the Light out on human and zombified enemies.
Arguably set in a sort of Colosseum aptly named Carnage Hall, the sweaty battles are part of a new story that will still take place within the walls of the city.
The detailed presentation of Bloody Ties should take place as part of the Gamescom Opening Night. Anyone who cannot or does not want to be there live can follow the event on Tuesday, August 23 from 8:00 p.m. CET on the relevant streaming channels.
