Tekken 7: Update brings new gameplay element to the ring

Tekken 7 is the most recent main part of the legendary fighting game series and was released for consoles in 2017. Despite this, it continues to stay up to date thanks to a new gameplay element.

The new update 5.00 now has Bandai Namco in an extensive document communicated with patch notes. In addition, there is also a first impression of the changes in a new video. Unsurprisingly, the balancing of the many fighters was screwed once more, whereby the devil is, as so often, in the details. For some characters there were significantly more changes than for others, such as Lidia or Leroy.

Tekken 7: New move wall crash

In addition, there is also an overall new game element with the Wall Crush. Every fighter now has tricks up their sleeves to perform either a wall crush hit or a wall crush block. Once the opponent is stuck against the wall, these special moves can throw them against it so hard that the regeneration time is significantly longer than usual. This opens up more combo possibilities.

However, the adversary can block attacks after being wall crushed. Nonetheless, he will be at what Bandai Namco describes as “the big disadvantage”. So if you don’t want to get into this unpleasant situation in the first place, you should keep a close eye on the arena surroundings.

If you have a soft spot for beat’em ups or would like to put out feelers, you should definitely take a look at Tekken 7. We gave the brawler a gold award in our test because, among other things, it offers mechanics that are beyond all doubt.
