PS5 players complain about issues in CoD Modern Warfare – Some players believe Warzone is the culprit

PS5 players have been complaining about technical problems in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for about a month. Various modes are affected by the difficulties, including multiplayer. Some reddit users are of the opinion: CoD: Warzone is to blame for the annoyances.

Currently PS5 players with CoD: Modern Warfare seem to have technical problems. An error message prompts you to install data. But that doesn’t work.

The users share the problem on reddit. Some suspect that CoD: Warzone is the trigger for the technical problems in the game.

The installation of the missing data packages is not possible

What problems are PS 5 players facing? The problem occurs in the three modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Spec Ops. If the player tries to start one of these modes, a message appears that the required data packages are not installed.

If players then try to follow the game’s instructions and download the missing data, they will again see an error message: The installation is suspended.

Does Activision know the problem of PS5 players? The issue players are currently experiencing is already listed as a known issue on Activision Support Page: Here is the issue PS5 players are unable to install multiplayer packs due to interrupted installation (via support.activision).

Users believe: Activision neglects Modern Warfare because of Warzone

What does Warzone have to do with the problem? The Eurogamer website and some reddit subs assume that CoD: Warzone is responsible for the problems in CoD: Modern Warfare.

Eurogamer explains the problems as follows: Since CoD: Modern Warfare was supplemented with CoD: Warzone, the game has been problematic. With each CoD: Warzone patch, the data in Modern Warfare is deleted and would have to be downloaded again each time. The downloads would always include several hundred gigabytes of data. This would make it confusing which data is actually needed to gamble CoD: Modern Warfare. (via eurogamers).

In addition, Activision’s resources are currently being invested primarily in CoD: Warzone, so that previous games such as CoD: Modern Warfare take a back seat. That’s why this game is supposedly given less attention.

Some reddit users see it similarly, who insult Warzone as the culprit behind the technical problems in Modern Warfare: Users write that CoD: Modern Warfare was neglected after the release of CoD: Warzone and that the updates have been necessary so often since then that the amounts of data in the game would become too large (via reddit).
