Blizzard is working on a big new survival title. This is the company’s first new brand since Overwatch, which is saying something. However, we know next to nothing about the mysterious title so far. There were only two pieces of concept art to admire and a few meager references to the genre. But that could change now if this leaked information is correct.

Blizzard’s new RPG is said to be called Odyssey and will offer crafting, base building and more

That’s what it’s about: A few months ago, Blizzard officially announced that a new survival RPG is in the works. A name or more has not yet been revealed, but everything that was known at the time (including the two pictures) can be found here:

A possible new leak could now reveal some further information about the title. It is said to go under the code name Odyssey and has been in development for quite a while.

The problem at hand is, however, that the originator of the leak himself emphasizes that his information is several months old (via: GamingBolt). Almost everything about the game could have changed since then, so you should be careful with it.

Look like Everwild? Windows Central author Jez Corden reports in the Xbox Two podcast that the look of Odyssey reminded him of titles like Everwild or Fable Legends. But it shouldn’t just be like a fairy tale, it should also have a really good ending. The look was probably garnished with some machines reminiscent of steampunk and alchemy.

Gameplay elements like base building and crafting are said to play a role in Odyssey – or at least apparently did a few months ago. In addition, there is probably the possibility of opening your own shops, for example to sell potions to other players. However, Odyssey is not planned as an MMO, but rather as a classic survival game in the style of Ark: Survival Evolved.

What do you think of this possible information? What are your hopes for a Blizzard survival game?
