Tower of Fantasy is Coming Soon to a Cyberpunk City and a New Character
As part of gamescom 2022, the developers of Tower of Fantasy announce the first expansion. The update brings a lot of new content into the free MMORPG.
On Wednesday, August 24th, developers Hotta Studios present a new Tower of Fantasy trailer showing a new zone.
What is this zone? The update throws you into a desert landscape and finally brings you to the cyberpunk city of Mirroria City. In the “Vera” region you will encounter previously unknown world bosses and you can take part in new instances and raids. You should also be able to farm additional mounts there.
The associated city is the floating metropolis Mirroria City. Matching the sci-fi setting of Tower of Fantasy, it is visually convincing with strong cyberpunk elements. Everything looks futuristic, metallic and full of neon signs.
The main story of the MMORPG should continue in this city.

What is this game anyway? Tower of Fantasy is a new anime MMORPG with gacha elements reminiscent of Genshin Impact. It celebrated its global release on August 11, 2022, previously the game was only available in China.
You create a character, but you are not tied to a fixed class. Instead, with a bit of luck, you’ll draw new characters, called Simulacra, whose weapons you can equip and improve.
Once you’ve combed through the initial story, various daily quests and content await you that will further improve your character and feed you into the gacha system.
Frigg as a new SSR character
A few days ago, the developers announced on the Tower of Fantasy Twitter account that a new playable character (called “Simulacrum” in Tower of Fantasy) will be added soon. Frigg, who you have only encountered as an NPC so far, can become part of your team from September.
From the story you probably know Frigg as the commander of the heirs of Aida. In the fight you have to compete against them several times.
The associated weapon of the simulacrum is called Balmung: A sword in each hand, with which you attack quickly and carry out ice attacks. Frigg is one of the DPS classes in Tower of Fantasy.

When is the update coming? Hotta Studios will bring the new character into play on September 1st. There is currently no date for the new region, the trailer only says “Coming Soon”. So it is to be expected that the new content will be added in autumn or winter of 2022.
