You can pre-order Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 now. Here you will find an overview of the various editions including content and prices at all retailers.

Santa Monica, California – The time has come: Modern Warfare 2 has been officially announced with a reveal trailer. This year’s Call of Duty has put Activision in the capable hands of multiple studios. But Infinity Ward was in charge. The new CoD 2022 will be released on October 28th and can be pre-ordered now. We show you all editions including content and tell you where you can best pre-order Modern Warfare 2.

Pre-order Modern Warfare 2: All editions, pre-order bonuses and prices at a glance

There are these editions: If you want to pre-order Modern Warfare 2, you have the choice between different editions. There is the Standard Edition, the Cross-Gen Bundle and the Vault Edition. Depending on the edition and platform you want to play on, you have to dig deep into your pockets. It is also important that the Standard Edition only seems to be available for the PC. If you want to play on the old consoles, you have to buy the upgrade for the new consoles at the same time. We list all prices for the editions on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC in the following overview.

You only get this when you pre-order: In order to make the game as palatable as possible for the fans before the release, there are again exclusive pre-order bonuses. Anyone who pre-orders Modern Warfare 2 will receive a few small gifts that should make it easier to start the game. You’ll also get early access to the Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta. You’ll also get early access to the game’s campaign. But beware: if you buy Modern Warfare 2 after the release, you will probably no longer get the bonuses. Here’s a list of what you get for pre-ordering:

• Ghost Legacy Pack (12 Ghost Operator Skins) – only in Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone
• Early access for the campaign

This is included in the standard edition: The Standard Edition includes the base game for PC. The cheapest edition of Modern Warfare 2 still has some pre-order bonuses, which you can see in the overview here:

This is in the cross-gen bundle: The cross-gen bundle is the basic version of Modern Warfare 2 on both current console generations from Microsoft and Sony. For example, if you only want to play the new Call of Duty on the PS4, you still have to buy the upgrade for the PS5. Here’s what you get when you pre-order this edition of Modern Warfare 2.

• Early Access to Open Beta

What’s in the Vault Edition: The Vault Edition is the most expensive version of Modern Warfare 2 that you can pre-order. Here you get the base game as well as all pre-order bonuses of the cheaper versions. In addition, if you pre-order this edition of Modern Warfare 2, you’ll get the following.

• Ghost Legacy Pack
• Red Team 141 Operator Pack
• FJX Cinder Gun Safe
• Battle Pass for one season
• 50 tier jumps for the Battle Pass
