Pokémon GO starts the Season of Light Thursday – shows first video with 4 clues

The next season in Pokémon GO is the Season of Light. A first official video now shows what the coaches can look forward to. What new Pokémon will be revealed?

What’s new? On Sunday morning, August 28th, the Pokémon GO team released a short video on social media to help Trainers prepare for the upcoming season. It’s called the Season of Light and starts on September 1st.

This is the video: The video is just under 21 seconds. On Twitter it is described as “light or shadow, sun or moon. There is still a lot to discover in the universe. Get those flashlights out, Coach. The #SeasonOfLight is starting soon”. You can see the video in the embedded tweet:

This has happened so far: After the grand finale of GO Fest on Saturday, August 27, a surprise event featuring Solrock and Lunastein kicked off in Pokémon GO. The two Pokémon are visually similar to a sun and a moon. The trainers already suspected that Niantic wanted to use this to indicate the next season. It was similar in the Alola season, where Alola Kokowei suddenly populated the map everywhere.

You can see that in the video: The video hints at four Pokémon that seem to play a role in the new season.

In the last few days, dataminers have already announced finds of the next Pokémon. These four Pokémon have already been named in the leak. Along with lyrics from Professor Willow, who was surrounded by a protective presence in Ultra Space.
