The original Mafia is completely free on Steam for a limited time

The Mafia series is celebrating its 20th birthday this year. The series now includes three different titles, as well as Definitive Editions for all games, which act as a kind of remaster. The series has been able to build a real following over the years, but for many players the very first Mafia still remains the absolute favourite.

If you haven’t been able to play this fan-favorite yet, 2K has a pretty good deal for you: From September 1st to September 5th this year, you can get the original Mafia on Steam completely for free. The title usually costs 9.99 euros, and if you want to believe the approximately 6,000 user reviews on Steam, it is definitely worth this price. So no one should miss out on the game, which is completely free.

For the 20th anniversary of the Mafia series, 2K has a few more things up its sleeve. For example, running currently a contest, where you can win the original score for Mafia 3 on vinyl, among other things. All you have to do is share a tweet from 2K with the associated hashtag. All Sweepstakes Rules are also included in the tweet. Additionally, 2K announced in a recent interview that work on an all-new mafia game has started. However, they have not yet been able to share any more information.
