Terraria: First Steam game with over 1 million reviews and "extremely positive" approval

from Michael Miskulin
Terraria has achieved a special Steam milestone. It’s the first game to have over 1 million reviews and “extremely positive” feedback from the community. For a small indie game, that’s quite impressive.

Terraria is an indie game that was first fully released about 10 years ago. Obviously, the developer did a lot of things right, because after all these years the players are probably still very satisfied with the game. In fact, they’re so pleased with the indie title that it hit a special Steam milestone that no other game has been able to match.

Terraria update: has the developer teased part 2 of the sandbox game?

Terraria is the top rated game on Steam

The Twitter user @demizegg this milestone was noticed for the first time. He published a list of the top rated games on Steam and wrote that Terraria is now the first game on Steam that has more than 1 million user reviews and at the same time was able to keep the “extremely positive” review status. In fact, over 97 percent of all reviewers gave a positive user rating. In second place is Garry’s Mod with almost 96 percent approval from 868,427 submitted reviews.

However, since Terraria was first released in 2012, the developer has never really put the game down. Rather, the small team has repeatedly supported the indie game over the years with new updates, extensions and patches. It’s nice to see that a small indie game can still get such a positive response over the years and remains popular with the fans.
