TikToker sparks debate with 'satanic' birthday party for 1-year-old Dexerto

A TikToker threw a “satanic” birthday party for her one-year-old daughter, sparking a debate on the social media app.

A mother has left viewers divided with a TikTok video of her young son’s creepy birthday party, which featured black decorations, a pentagram cake and photos of goats associated with the devil.

“Rumors say I had the best outfit for my first birthday,” writes the text. the video reads, as Adele’s song ‘Rumors’ begins to play. When it switches to Måneskin’s rock hit ‘Beggin’, the video continues to show a slideshow of footage from the spooky party.

One photo shows the young man dressed in black, posing next to what appears to be a star used for satanic sacrifices and a piñata that resembles Baphomet. Another shows her digging into a cake covered in a pentagram made of icing.

The TikToker also shared a photo of the Birthday invitation which describes his daughter Lilith as “cute as hell” before welcoming guests to the party.

The video went viral with over 2.3 million views and people had a lot to say about the controversial celebration.

Some users left supportive comments below the mother video.

“Okay, I love this and would have gone with my heathens! Happy birthday Lilith!” one user commented. “I wish my birthday was like this,” added another.

“Your birthday party is beautiful, it seems you enjoyed it very much,” wrote a third user.

Many, however, criticized the mother for throwing a “satanic” themed party for her young son.

“I don’t think it’s a party or color for a girl. I really don’t know what went through the mother’s mind,” one user commented. “That was not a birthday party, it was a sacrifice,” shared a second user.

“I can’t believe this mom threw a Satan-themed party for her baby,” someone else added.

The overwhelming amount of negative feedback the TikToker received led her to publicly defend herself and her family.

“I see that there are many news sites that shut down my daughter’s party with lies,” she told CEN.

She continued: “1. We are not satanists. 2. There were guests. 3. The party had nothing satanic about it. 4. The piñata is not Satan, nor the Devil, it is Baphomet. 5. The pentagram is not inverted because it is not satanic”.
