Nvidia: Geforce RTX 3090 (Ti) and 3080 Ti with price cuts
high-end GPUs
After almost two years of overpriced prices on the graphics card market, GPU manufacturer Nvidia has lowered its top models RTX 3090 and 3080 (also Ti) for the first time.

In the last few months, after the price collapse of various cryptocurrencies, there has been a drop in the price of current Nvidia graphics cards. On the official website of the manufacturer, the first GPUs can now also be found with a reduced recommended retail price.
The prices of the “Founders Edition” reference models for the GeForce RTX 3090, the associated Ti version and the RTX 3080 Ti have been reduced by several hundred euros in some cases. According to the information on the manufacturer’s website, this is a limited-time offer – it is not known for what period of time this applies.
The nominally largest price reduction was experienced by the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, which fell from the RRP of 2,249 euros by 920 euros to 1,329 euros. The regular version of the GPU is also cheaper: At 1,199 euros, the price during the offer period is 350 euros cheaper than when it was released. The RTX 3080 Ti, which can now be bought for 1,089 instead of 1,199 euros, has also been adjusted.
However, all other graphics cards from Nvidia are excluded from the campaign and remain at a slightly higher level compared to the RRP at the start of sales. Those interested in buying the RTX 3080, RTX 3070 (Ti) and RTX 3060 Ti models will have to expect a price premium of around five percent.
Nevertheless, the pleasing development is to be welcomed at least in the upper class segment – not least manufacturers of custom designs such as the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3090 have now made a similar price reduction.
