This week we have new information about The Division: Heartland - so you can test it now

The Division: Heartland is a project in the antiquated Division universe. Actually, the cover shooter should have been on the market long ago, but instead there was eternal radio silence from the developer Ubisoft. On the “Ubisoft Forward” there should be new information about the game. If you feel like testing Heartland yourself, you will find the most important information here.

How can I test? Since the announcement of Division: Heartland, developer Ubisoft has been inviting them to play tests. There’s no guarantee you’ll be selected, but if you want a chance, check out:

  1. Visit Ubisoft’s playtest page (ubisoft.com)
  2. Choose your preferred platform
  3. Choose an account to log in (Ubisoft, Twitch, Xbox, PlayStation, Facebook)
  4. Sign up
  5. Complete the registration

When is Heartland coming out? The release was actually planned for late 2021 or early 2022. After a postponement, however, the title was quiet for a long time, apart from leaks. On the “Ubisoft Forward” there should finally be new information about the game (via twitter.com).

There is another Division game in the works, by the way – The Division: Resurgence. A mobile game based on the two main titles in the series. We include a gameplay introduction here:

The Division Resurgence – Gameplay Introduction Trailer

What game is Heartland? Officially, we know very little about the shooter. However, compared to the main games Division 1 and 2, it’s more of a “lobby shooter” with shorter matches and fewer MMO elements. Even if everything goes in the direction of multiplayer.

According to earlier leaks, you should be able to craft items, the class system (specialists) will be retained and there should be survival aspects. Loot also plays a role and should even be valuable beyond the individual matches. However, all this info is from early leaked alpha gameplay.

In addition, there are probably several game modes, all with a different focus. Some more on co-op PvE, others bring the PvP element into play and are a bit reminiscent of the Dark Zone. This is a PvEvP mode and one of the reasons why Division stood out from its competition.

For now, everything looks set to pack the Division series’ gameplay into a stripped-down, more digestible environment. Instead of spending many hours leveling up and collecting equipment, you can probably start right away in Heartland and experience the gameplay.

The Division series experienced a blatant crash, but is far from over. Division 2 recently started bringing new content again and was able to win back some players thanks to an exciting cliffhanger.

In addition, at least 2 games are currently on the road in the Division universe and could celebrate their release this year or next.

What are your expectations for Heartland or Division in general? Leave a comment with your assessment.
