FIFA 23: Leak shows women in Ultimate Team – what’s behind it?
Where did the leak come from? The leak comes from the Out of Context Football Twitter account. Usually, memes and funny clips related to football are posted there. As the name suggests, the concept of the channel is to post clips and images without any context. Now there was a supposed leak to Fifa Ultimate Team in the upcoming FIFA 23.
What does the leak show exactly? Just recently, upgrades and downgrades of some star players in FIFA 23 were leaked. Out of Context Football has now posted an image showing a women’s footballer’s FUT card alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The soccer player is Ballon D’or winner Alexia Putellas. The striking thing about it: The Spanish world footballer has better values than the male superstars. For the Portuguese this is the second defeat in a few days. According to leaks, Niklas Sommer is faster than Ronaldo in FIFA 23.
Is the leak realistic? It has been difficult to assess so far. In principle, the FUT cards can be created quickly with a little skill in Photoshop. Since it is a meme account, there are strong doubts about the leak. Whether there will really be women footballers in Fifa Ultimate Team remains to be seen.
