Call of Duty: Next: 2024 is rumored to be about the Iraq War

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

The Call of Duty planned for 2024 is said to be about Operation Enduring Freedom and the Iraq war.

As players prepare for a global conflict this year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is set to head to Iraq in 2024.

The latest rumors from the prominent COD leaker TheGhostofHope the Call of Duty planned for 2024 is supposed to deal technically with Operation Enduring Freedom and the Iraq War, which includes the period early and late 2000.

If the rumor is true, then the search for monkeys of mass destruction in Iraq could be covered and deal with things like 9/11.

Whether Treyarch actually dares to tackle this explosive topic remains to be seen. The studio was mainly involved with the Black Ops series and it is questionable whether another modern and contemporary setting will be selected alongside Modern Warfare II.
