Rockstar Games has listened to its fans by adding AMD FSR 2.0 visual enhancement support to Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, after modders did so about two months ago.

Red Dead Redemption 2 did not launch with support for AMD’s new FSR 2.0 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) enhancement technology when it came to PC, but modders quickly added FSR 2.0 support. But the developer has added official FSR 2.0 support in the game.

The latest update v1.31 for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC adds support for AMD FSR 2.0, with developer Rockstar Games noting in the 1.31 patch notes: “AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 2.0 has been implemented.”

You’ll need to download the 433MB update, which also adds Reflex to reduce lag on the gamepad only (no help here for mouse and keyboard input). The new Red Dead Redemption 2 update 1.31 also sees Rockstar Games making improvements to Temporary Anti-Aliasing (TAA).

So it’s not just AMD FSR 2.0 in the new update, but that’s the biggest issue here for sure. There’s also a lot more in the patch notes, these three here are just the PC-only tweaks in the RDR2 patch.
