The Witcher: CD Projekt says the new saga will be "more than a game".

Perhaps it shouldn’t surprise us that a new Witcher saga could consist of multiple games, but CD Projekt has now confirmed that it’s exactly what’s being thought about.

Earlier this year, the studio announced a new Witcher saga powered by Unreal Engine 5, and the first new game is currently in pre-production.

More Witcher games planned

“We have more than one thing in mind,” said CD Projekt CEO Adam Kici’ski in a conference call to announce the company’s latest business figures.

“The first saga consisted of three games, so we are considering more than one game now. However, we are currently in pre-production on the first game of the second Witcher saga.”

Not a huge surprise, but an official confirmation of the project doesn’t hurt either, right?

As mentioned, CD Projekt is switching to Unreal Engine 5 for the new Witcher games. For the previous Witcher games and for Cyberpunk 2077, the in-house REDengine was used.
