Red Dead Online Rangboni

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest games of Rockstar Games, with a bulging open world full of activities and a rich story. The publisher has even tried with Red Dead Online to the success of GTA Online to connect, which never happened. Now it’s clearer than ever that the developers are finally leaving online mode behind.

Rockstar Games says thank you in the Red Dead Online credits

It’s no secret that Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode never really took off. What started out as a good idea turned out to be an almost deserted prairie compared to “GTA Online”.

After long rumors that the online mode of the western role-playing game would no longer receive major updates, Rockstar Games confirmed this a month ago. The monthly events are meant to remain a part of the game, however the developers will no longer deliver their own content.

To underscore this again, the credits for Red Dead Redemption 2 and its online mode within the game have recently been updated. The list now begins with the following message:

“Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped us develop Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.”

While this might just be a way to accurately reflect everyone who worked on the game post-launch, many are speculating that it means Red Dead Online has finally been left to its own devices.

No more updates for GTA Online soon?

A similar change was made on the Rockstar Games official website. in one new entry titled “Thank You” all employees who were involved in “GTA 5” are listed. Because of this, it is speculated that Rockstar may also have new updates for the online mode of grand theft auto 5 could set soon.

It is believed that Rockstar Games will focus its entire focus on the development of GTA 6 wants to relocate and is therefore beginning to withdraw from older projects. It has not yet been officially announced whether GTA Online will be unsupported in the future – but it is only a matter of time before Rockstar pools all its resources for the next entry in the “GTA” series.
