What is Call of Duty: Next? Under the term Call of Duty: Next, publisher Activision presents the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II as well as the Future of the popular battle royale Warzone before. When does it start? The Call of Duty: Next event will take place on September 15 at 7 p.m. Our live stream starts at 6:30 p.m. with a preliminary talk. You can watch the whole show live on our Twitch channel MAX—Monsters & Blasts follow along.

Who is in it? The moderator of the event with us is Jules, but he is not alone in the stream: the two CoD experts Riirex and Raptor are also at the start. What’s up with the new CoD games? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is the long-awaited upcoming CoD game for the year 2022. It is scheduled to be released on October 28, 2022 and comes from the developer Infinity Ward. They were already behind the previous Modern Warfare games, including the popular game from 2019. The release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S is confirmed and also on Steam should the new CoD be available for gaming again. So those who prefer this platform will have even more reason to celebrate.

This time the game is not only about terrorists, but also against a South American drug cartel. Wild fights in the jungle are also included. There are characters known from the predecessor, including the grumpy Captain Price or the main character Simon “Ghost” Riley with his cool skull mask. In the stream on September 15th you will see the multiplayer mode with different 6v6 maps, which has always been the core of every CoD game. So that cheaters don’t stand a chance, the powerful anti-cheat tool Ricochet is implemented here as well.

The first beta phase for CoD: Modern Warfare II starts on September 16th. It lasts until September 20th. There will be another phase from September 22nd to 26th. The open beta starts on September 24th and ends again on September 26th.

There is also the new edition of Warzone, Call of Duty’s standalone battle royale. This long-awaited game will also be shown at the event. A completely new engine was developed for the new version and the game was rebuilt from the ground up. Included are, among other things, a new sandbox mode, a revised progression system and an integration into Modern Warfare II.
