The PS5 price increase was yesterday. Thanks to a code in the technology deal, you can currently secure Sony’s console on eBay at the old price and save 50 euros.

Hamburg – In the last few weeks it has become a little easier to secure a Sony PS5, but you also have to dig deeper into your pocket for the coveted console. Manufacturer Sony increased the price of the PlayStation 5 in the disc version from 499 euros to 549 euros. If you don’t want to accept this additional price, you can currently save the 50 euros when buying the PS5 through an eBay deal. Here’s the code.

What does the eBay deal for the PS5 look like? The online auction house eBay is currently spoiling buyers with a hefty discount on technology. Is eBay’s PS5 deal worth it? The eBay voucher is basically capped at 50 euros. A higher discount cannot be achieved per order. So anything that exceeds a value of 500 euros will not get you a better deal. So if you find a PS5 on eBay for the original price of 549 euros, the console can be pushed back to the old price of 499 euros – so not a bad console deal in the current situation.

The problem with the campaign, however, is likely to be finding a Sony PS5 for the OVP on eBay at all. Many consoles are still offered here at horrendous prices. If you go for one of the more expensive PS5 offers, you still save 50 euros, but you can hardly speak of a real console offer. In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves whether it’s worth buying the PS5 as part of the current eBay campaign.
